“How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.”
When working on multiple projects it is very easy to get distracted throughout the day. If you’re lucky you’ll realize at some point in the day that there was actually something else that should get done.
To cope with an overwhelming number of things that my various projects and commitments brought with them – some time ago – I started to write a list of the top 5 things in a new Evernote every day first thing in the morning (Evernote is what for me works best across all platforms that I use).
This still left me with having to go back to Evernote throughout the day to check whether I was still working on my priories. Recently, I was very happy to learn about Momentum which appears on any new tab I open in the browser (Chrome) and reminds me of my focus for today and also allows for a list of todos (bottom right of the screen) where I can put my top items.
You can configure what you want to see – links, search, the weather and whether you want that quote on the bottom of the page (which I think is rather nice) and a good opportunity for reflection.
